Commercial/Residential gates allow businesses and homeowners to keep their property safe and secure. With all of the gate options available on the market, you’re able to customize how you want it to look and operate. Gates also provide a level of convenience and security to your organization and home, ensuring that only authorized people have access to your property. With the automatic gate, you also get sensors, circuits, remote controllers and other accessories you’ll need to keep your gate functioning properly.
Before choosing your gate, there’s a few questions you should consider first:
- How much space do you have available?
- How fast do you need your gate to move?
- What’s the frequency you require in your gate?
- How much gate-weight can you manage?
These questions will help you determine what you need your gate for, and what features will be best suited for your premises. Gates are a long lasting investment. Once installed, your gate will be around to protect your property for many years to come.
High quality openers keep your garage door operating safely and efficiently. We sell and install three main types of garage door openers, including chain drive, belt drive, and screw drive openers.
Chain Drive: This is the most common type of opener. It uses a chain to pull the trolley along the track that moves your door up and down. Chain drives are affordable and reliable, however, they are also a little noisy, so they’re typically best suited for a detached garage.
Belt Drive: This opener uses a belt rather than a chain to move your door. A belt driven opener is virtually silent and for this reason it is ideal for attached garages. These operators are more expensive than the chain drive with this added feature.
Screw Drive: Screw driven openers rotate a threaded steel rod to move the trolley that opens or closes the garage door. Generally, this opener is made up of fewer components than the other two options, which can result in less maintenance over its lifetime. Keep in mind, this option is the cheapest, but the noisiest of the three options.
